No, Thank You for making such good quality products. Seems like I was constantly buying belts and they were falling apart in a very short time.

Then I bought one of your Heavy Belts and expect that at 72 years old it will probably outlast me. Fantastic belt.

Times have changed. It's a World economy and things are made where it's most efficient. China products were crappy, but have improved dramatically. Nearly all labor-intensive products are made where there's a labor supply. Americans are more educated now and lean toward technology employment. Fewer Americans want to do idiot-work. it's 2020.

Its hard to compete with slave labor and no regard for environment. Those are the only reason crap is made there.

Remember it's the companies themselves who have 'sourced out' T-shirts etc., to the chinese. It wouldn't be so bad if the manufacturing costs reflected the cheap production prices, i.e. bring the prices down and pass the savings on to the customer. But H.D. like so many other U.S. companies keep the price up to please their investors.

Where in America are you going to find 10,000 people willing to work on sewing machines all day for $8 an hour?

Default Christmas decorations and Farkle

Happy to see I’m not over-reacting. 🙂

I got to thinking about “Christmas decorations and Farkle” after I posted. Do I really need anything a Harley dealer sells besides some of the proprietary parts to repair my bike? I don’t. My life will be no less enriched if I don’t have any Chinese Farkle from the MoCo.

I own a Harley. I don’t need to prove that to anyone or advertise my bike of choice.

I did something that made me happy yesterday - not disappointed. I didn’t support a nation that is not a friend of America.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m not throwing stones at Chinese people or any people. People are people. We all want to be near family and be happy. The rest is about money and power.

If we all resisted buying one thing a week that was made in China we would support other economies that want to trade fairly with us. I think some of the stuff we buy from China is probably not even necessary.

Funny how you start to worry about America and our way of life as you get older. I guess you figure out that most of what you see and hear isn’t what it’s selling on the surface.

Didn’t they start saying “made the American way” a few years ago?

If playing field was even, we would have people working at the factories that have machines doing 90% of the work. Sense its cheaper to have slaves and pollute environment, crap is made over there.
