I am so pissed...I take care of my Dyna so much and I had to have my tires refitted after the spoke broke and the tech damaged the rim at the edge on several places....
is this normal.....his boss wanted to make excuses that it is normal but I said it is not and he can do it without edge damage...
he took off the black surface in few places.....
I was super pissed and I don't know what to do it in this case....I am pretty sure every Harley owner would be pissed if this happens.....
so did this happened to you before or not?
They said they will replaster next time, but I doubt it....how can they repair the damage....
I really take care of my bike, and then this happens...
Inexcusable for anyone to damage a wheel and rim like this was done. Dangerous to ride! Return it immediately to the dealer before riding it further. They must fix it. I've never been a motorcycle mechanic but I replaced tires until someone came along that would do it for me, approximately 45 years. I never scratched a wheel. I laid them on an old car tire and used plastic breaker bars. Always preferred same tire size back and front.
If a trained Harley Davidson mechanic can't do better than this, the company has bigger problems.
That's why I will never let another idiot touch my tires/wheels....
I ordered this, it's supposed to be delivered in Aug. All 4 lower clamps that grip the rim have plastic protectors for the heads, to keep from damaging/marking the rim. Also the mount/demount head has a plastic protector that clips on. No one wants to have their tires changed and see damage. F**k that. And what if you have custom rims, as a lot of guys do? You're talking major $$$$$$$$. I just mounted RideWright wheels in my shop on my Heritage. Rims rotors and pulley cost $3,600. No dumbass tech will ever touch them...

look the shop was always great, I have been there since 4 years, and now the boss employed this douche, with a ponytail, who is a moron....first he dropped my primary cover on the floor and now it has a big scratch in it, this happened last week...and today he ruined the rim because he did it himself.......****ing moron......before boss son was working there, amazing guy, like you saw how he cared about not damaging the bike...and now this moron with ponytail.....my blood is boiling......
I have a feeling like he did it on purpose.....because he did not show any remorse, nothing.......nada.......not even sorry sir....the boss said well things get damaged if you USE THEM....that was his quote....and that my wheel is damaged anyways because of spokes.....
and he said because this is damaged where the spokes come in he could not true the wheel completely..... https://pasteboard.co/JfGqCDs.png I am not sure if he is bullshitting me or not....but he was just tightening and untightening the spokes and turning the wheel and saying he cant do it and being pissed about it
They love hearing from the Better Business Bureau. Having before and after pics and any correspondence and it will be a no brainer to get your stuff repaired.
