Do I Really Look That Stupid??

New2Harley - that was my reaction, too! Not to be crude, but I told the hubby that I guess the guy thought that since I didn't have the extra head between the legs I must be clueless. Female? Yes. Stupid? Not even close. He has no idea who he's f***in' with.
Vegashd - I very seriously doubt that anybody would get $29K out of a motorcycle around here, regardless what's been done to it...just based on what I know about this area.
Goodbirds - It seems every time I go in there the staff is different. I had never seen the girls in the motorclothes department before today. I know the sales manager quite well, since he's the one the hubby dealt with when his new bike was delivered. Don't know the service folks since we've never used the service department here before. I know the parts department folks only by having seen them before. They seem to usually be the same folks though.
Mark- I just LOVE your idea! Part of me just wants to go back in there and ask the guy how stupid he thinks I am (I'd probably scare him - I have a tendency to be pretty ruthless sometimes) and then use your idea. I'll have to remember that one next time!
Thanks for your responses, guys. I appreciate it!
That salesman was a jerk. Don't let it go to you. I think it's great you wrench on your own bike.

One day I was in this same dealership and was looking at an Ultra...just looking while the hubby was taking care of some other things. This guy walked up to me and said, "I can put you on that bike today." I looked at the price tag, and said, "No, you really can't." He didn't even bother trying to talk me in to it...just walked away. He couldn't have talked me into it anyway, considering the same bike would have been significantly cheaper at "our" dealership. The hour drive is certainly worth it for a couple thousand dollars' savings.
Besides, I bought my baby there...my first ride...so I'm a bit partial to them. The sales manager at "our" dealership is great!
Well Robin all I can say is....WOW! You sure do look great sitting on that bike. Your hubby isa very lucky man...which I'm sure he is well aware of. That's all I have to say.
Thank you!
Sorry folks,gotta run.[sm=hail.gif]

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Akenaten...digging yourself a pretty good hole, there, are ya?

Dynamite...my mom started riding about the same time I did. She, my hubby and I took the MSF BRC the same weekend last October. We had a great time! She pretty much only rides locally, preferring to ride two-up with her boyfriend for longer trips.
