Vegashd - I very seriously doubt that anybody would get $29K out of a motorcycle around here, regardless what's been done to it...just based on what I know about this area.

no one said anything about selling a bike for alot... and you would be surprised.. on that notion that would mean your dealer never sold a CVO bike. or lots of chrome with a sale......

But we are talking about the worth of a bike for raffle... very well could have been worth that....

I can understand the frustration. Although, I have never experienced it myself. My OL is not one to mess with. What she doesn't know about bikes and other vehicles, she learns from me. I use to work as a mechanic, and other's in the bussiness often see a woman as an easy way to make money. It sucks, but is the reality. But, with knowledge comes power. Learn everything you can. Working on bikes is new to me, as well. But, I use this forum to my advantage. If I need to go to the dealer for something, I find all the info I need here, or somewhere else online. Then, when I walk into the service or parts department, they seem to treat me like I know what I am doing (even though a lot of the time, I don't). My wife just started to ride. Her mother bought a Yamaha back in 1986 and has ridden it ever since. She gave it to my wife as a starter bike. I am happy to say, she is loving it. A HD is in her future. We just didn't want to flop down a bunch of cash only to find out she didn't like it. Well, she does, so by next Christmas, I am sure she will have one. And, as far as dealership go, I only have one local dealer. Sucks. Next nearest one is an hour away. Wish I had more options, but I don't. I buy a lot online. But still like to window shop at the dealer. I am there every week. They all know me, and treat me fairly well. The parts department is the only reason I will not do more business with them. They all suck. Not a single customer service person there. In my mind, CS is what it is all about. You treat me well, do what you say you are going to do, and you will have a customer for life. Lie to me, and I will just buy elsewhere, and I do. Keep up the wrenching. It is fun, and I, personally, think it is sexy as hell seeing a woman riding her own bike. Watching my OL ride her's in front of me gets me...well, you know where I am going. Stay safe. Sorry this turned out to be a novel. LOL, I am a bit outspoken.

Here's my experience--I was shopping around for a bike at our local HD dealer, walking through the store, looking at the bikes, and not one person came up to me to ask if I needed anything. I was in there for like 20 minutes. Needless to say, I went shopping elsewhere. I'm buying my second bike from a different store. Customer service is(should be) number one in my book.

Like I stated, Pebbles, CS is key. There are a lot of businesses I will not step foot in, because of poor CS. Kmart being one of the biggest. Along with more than a dozen restuarants and bars, car dealerships, and AOL (Heck, I worked there for 3.5 years. I did all I could do, which was a lot, but in the end, it was the end.)I give them the three strike rule. Some may even get a forth, depending on the quality of food at some places. Lonestar has some really good food, they got the forth strike, and I will never return.

hey! I'm in hope Mills too. I know the dealer, some times I get treated ok, and sometimes Ifeel like I am "bothering" them to help me out. Its kinda hit and miss with them. I did go and have some warranty work done there recently (shorted ignition switch, took TWO weeks) but they said they didnt have the waranty codes yet from the MOCO,they let me have my bike, but no paperwork (kinda fishy to me). Now I have to go back and get a copy of the workorder (if its closed out) for my records.

I visited A dealer that I check out online . Looking At used bikes . They had an 05 Ultra , that I wanted to see .
I get there was greeted nicely at the door . After walking
around looking at the bikes on the floor . I havnt seen it yet . So I asked about it .They send over this salesman. This guy must have been having A bad day . Askes me what I was interested in .
I told him it was the 05 Ultra . He was being short with me the whole time , like i am bothering him .
He said oh that one , Some one already put money on it .
I am like I just drove down here . Cant I take A quick look. He then ruffles some papers & Said they must have picked it up !
Like I said , It was his attitude . I wont go back !

Glebo, we usually go up to Smithfield to the dealership up there. The customer service has always been excellent when we've been up there. We haven't had a bad experience with them yet.
