Default New Owner
As a new Sporty owner and never had a bike before I went thru the training class and learned a lot. Where and how do others "practice" ? I am going to a local down the street middleschool back parking lot and start with some turns etc.

Good place to choose, school parking lot or any big parking lot with no traffic.

learn how to recognize rear wheel lock and train your brain to let up on the brake when you feel it

Practice braking.

That requires a parking lot

School lots are great. Church lots are good also. I practice at the church down the road from time to time.

Get yourself a cheap set of cones, and set them up in any vacant parking lot.

i used to go to the dmv in my area where they do the skills tests, they had the whole course painted on the parking lot and had marks where they would place the cones . might be worth looking into for after hours practice.
