Back in the 1980's I rented a tiny Toyota U-haul truck with an enclosed bed of probably 4' x 8' and hauled a 1976 Superglide and all of my belongings. If they still have small trucks like that you may be able to fit both inside, one fwd and one backward facing? Bottomline the one you are talking about is way bigger than that so you should be OK.
Maybe in the Summer, but Not much from October to April.
Oh yea...Florida no helmets, no insurance requirement, no helmet or equipment laws.
For all practical purposes, the helmet law in MO is gone. Yes, there's an insurance requirement, but they're not allowed to pull you over and check for it.
Another option, ride them back. Still have friends in California who want to go on a trip and ride one to Missouri with you? Then pay their airfare back. Or new friend from Missouri, pay both airfares out. If not just have the Bike hauler pick them up and deliver.
Thanks for sharing some great advice and some cool stories
I'm hesitant to try a shipping company because of my experience with the first company, I see their charges on my credit card, so I'll see what happens with this,
I will share my experience with the shipping company good or bad, don't want to jump the gun and poor mouth a company,
With everything that is going on in California with the fires and the Chinese virus,
I'm sure they have their hands full.
I was going to fly and rent a truck, I have great loading areas at both places I was worried about the ramp angle also.
We put most of our stuff in a pod, 4400 dollars for that, and 1200 for a 12 ft. Trailer from uhaul, if I rent a truck it's 2500 one way and I'll have to deal with the traffic and that mountain drive out of salt Lake City, it's no joke!
I'm really thinking of buying a trailer here and taking the southern route back to Missouri on the way home, maybe that's my next post!
