I got the bug for a new bike a few weeks ago. I was interested in a Road King or Heritage Classic.
i completed the application and they told me I was approved for either,Problem is, they dont have one. I also like the Fat Bob, but big surprise they have none.
its been 2 weeks now and they are still telling me they cant get any of the 3. The only new bikes they have are street glides, Road Glides and the electric bikes for 25k and up.
i find it hard believe they cant find any of the 3 im looking for. Going to look at some other brands tomorrow.
They can't transfer some "inventory" from one dealer to another? I recall they charged me for freight when I bought my 1991. Always thought that was pretty lame. Just build freight charges into the price and don't look so cheap to your customers.
The thing that gets me is I told them what I wanted, they had us do the app, they made a big deal out of us being approved. Just to be told I would have to settle on a different bike.
if they couldnt get what we wanted, they should not have ran our credit and wasted our time. I fully understand I can go to another dealer. I work 7 days a week, plus I have custody of my 6 year old grandson, I dknt have a trailer or a vehicle with a hitch, I dont want to drive a couple hundred miles.
I have bought 12 new Harleys from this dealer in the past.
