I used the mirror mount. It's barely visible when my gps isn't mounted on the bike but does a great job of holding the gps in place when I need it.

I have a ram mount and they work very well. Hold my big iPhone 11 Pro Max good. Steady as well. They are supposed to be tested up to 80mph but don't know for sure.

I use RAM mounts for my Zumo XT. Been using them for many many years. They're excellent.

I just picked up a base that screws to the bottom of the left mirror stem (in place of the lock nut), so I no longer have/need a U bolt+base around my handlebars.

Cheers!

I've been using Ram Mounts on several different bikes now for a dedicated gps. I no longer will ride a bike without gps. I find it helps me to be a lot safer. I no longer have to take my eyes off the road and try to read highway or street signs. A quick glance at the gps tells me what lane I need to be in or if the next corner is where I need to turn. Since I usually wind up riding lead in the small group with whom I generally ride, I am not only safer but they are also safer. Combined with the Sena communicators we all have, we get to our destination without any missed turns and easy lane changes. The Ram Mount makes it easy to remove the gps if the bike is going to be parked for awhile.

Look at the Rockform if you want a solid grip and sleek look. I use two, one for phone maps and one for the Power Vision with gauges.

Had a buddy lose his phone with a Ram mount. It just fell off as he was riding down the highway. Worst part was he had pictures of his son on his phone, have never saved them anyplace else, his son had committed suicide the year before. He spend two hours looking for his phone and finally found it. Phone was toast, but the pictures were still on the memory card.

I don't care how good you think the grip is on your phone holder, I wouldn't ride without the addition of the rubber straps.

I use this one on my Street Bob. Seems to me I had to source my own SAE bolt, because the included ones were metric.

Here's mine on the 1200. Also have one on the RK. Work as advertised; never had a problem with them.

I have the double version that attaches to the Brake/clutch reservoir on my Slim for my cell phone and GoPro when I don't feel like having the camera on my helmet. It's held up well since April and riding almost every weekend since then. I've only had to replace the rubber tether once because I accidentally stretched it out too much. I mainly went with the Ram mount because of the rubber parts which supposedly help with any vibration that may potentially mess up the phones. One of the guys I ride with has a Mob Armor claw mount that is just straight plastic construction and his IPhone camera no longer focus properly. Here's my set up when I first put it on.

I use RAM mount all the time.

On the photo you will see the "big" claw with a 5" extension for the GoPro. Even with the M8, there is to much vibration for the five inch extension. Video is so much better with 3". I am still searching for a better GoPro mounting options. maybe mounting it to a windscreen bolts?

Teh GPS aka phone is mounted on a 3' extension mounted to a mirror mount ball. This worked very well without any issues.
