Default Question about a grip issue

Hey guys, I am posting this here as I think more people will see it and may have experienced the same thing and thus have suggestions....

I bought some new bars Burly brand, and I have some new ISO grips that I had on the previous handlebars and had no issue.
On these new bars the throttle grip is too tight and will not turn freely, this is with just the grip on the handlebar and nothing attached to it so it is a grip issue not a cable issue.

If this has happened to anyone else, how did you fix it?
I tried a lubricant, didnt work, I tried sanding a little on the bar, still didn't work.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated as I have been working on putting these bars on for over a week and fighting it every step of the way, and am simply just fed up. This is my final issue with it.

Thanks in advance

If you're going to make them work it sounds like you only have two options:
Either making the handlebars (where the grips fit) smaller OR making the inside of the grips larger.

No doubt that it would be easier to (carefully) remove some of the inside material of the grips, possibley with light sandpaper on a dow rod but sanding the surfaces of the handlebars would also work but would require more effort.

If you can get the grips over the bars you're probably looking at a very small amount of material that needs to be removed so either way you go, take your time and do it in stages.

I haven't experienced this with grips before but I did with a pair of highway bar mounted foot pegs and a little "elbow grease" with some heavy grade sand paper got the job done!

Haven’t personally experienced this. I have found the plastic ridge on the grip being tight in the grove of the switch lock, ground that slightly down with a dremmel and was ok then.
Can you sand inside the grip, sandpaper wrapped around a dowel or broom stick? I seems the bars are maybe slightly too thick at the ends.
