Race tracks and street riding are two totally opposite worlds. Pro racers who dump a bike on a track are wearing full armored leathers and helmet/gloves. They can slide hundreds of feet without the worry of an 80,000 pound truck running them over or sliding into a sign or guard rail.
Sure there are other bikes to worry about running over them but those other bikes are ridden by other pro riders who are hyper aware of their surroundings, not Tweeting or checking in on Facebook.

Had it owed to HD. Friend that was following me called wife. Her and I followed the tow truck to HD paid the tow bill . Ask Art Misher's to find me a new one . Made the deal about 30 minutes latter.

Hit it. Most deaths happen trying to avoid obstacles. Other vehicles aren’t the only obstacles you may try to avoid. Raccoon, possum, deer, random road dunnage. The things we can hit and ride/live through probably kill more riders than the ones we can’t.

I have seen a squirrel put someone in icu before because they tried to avoid it.

This is true for the most part, trick is making that split second decision of can you ride over it...

Been there and bounced over some nasty stuff.

This should settle the argument, this WLA military training film taught laying it down. Looks like laying it down was intended to be cover from incoming rounds.

Looks like the instructor got to ride in comfort behind a canvas fairing.
