Sales will dwindle much sooner now in the Fall but they will also start earlier in the Winter & Spring.

I suspect that the August/September launch date for new Harley-Davidson models was traditional to coincide with the new model car introduction time from Detroit. You youngsters likely don't remember what a bid deal "new model week" used to be back in the 50's and 60's. New cars would be delivered to the dealerships and hidden "in the back" or under wraps until the official "unveiling" day. My dad used to take the family to all the dealerships in town to see the new cars that weekend in late August or early September to see all the new cars.

Well I do know some people bought other brands after the new bikes from other manufacturers were released, not wanting to wait for Harley's release.

I thought it corresponded to when Harley-Davidson had their annual dealer meeting?

Who really gives a rat's patoot? I don't plan on buying a new Harley again in this lifetime, because I ain't into rice.
if I ever do buy a new bike, it'll be that BMW Cruiser I forget the name because I'm drunk right now

I bought my 2020 in April, can I get some money back because it was only the current model for 8 months?
If you buy in Jan 2021 and they go back to October for 2022 models, do you only get 21 months warranty, so you can put a tuner on after 21 months without losing your warranty? 🙂 (x-thread points)

If you purchase a new leftover 2018 model in 2020 do you get any warranty?

They should introduce / release a different model each month of the year. Twelve months of continued excitement and anticipation.

Sportster - January
Heritage - February
FatBoy- March
Pan America- April
CVO Month - May
Street Bob - June
Shark - July
Low Rider - August
Road King - September
Limited - October
Street Glide - November
Live Wire - December

I love that Harley now reveals there new models in January. It makes so much more sense to bring out the new bikes BEFORE riding season rather than at the end of it. I've broken in so many new Harleys in the cold days of November, never again!!!
