Harley release date vs. competion

I would be curious going forward how this type of release schedule impacts the late fall to winter month foot traffic and sales in dealerships? Surely it will dwindle much faster now. Popping out new bikes across the year is to me a better means of staying in the news and keeping customer traffic up

I suspect that the August/September launch date for new Harley-Davidson models was traditional to coincide with the new model car introduction time from Detroit. You youngsters likely don't remember what a bid deal "new model week" used to be back in the 50's and 60's. New cars would be delivered to the dealerships and hidden "in the back" or under wraps until the official "unveiling" day. My dad used to take the family to all the dealerships in town to see the new cars that weekend in late August or early September to see all the new cars.

I bought my 2020 in April, can I get some money back because it was only the current model for 8 months?
If you buy in Jan 2021 and they go back to October for 2022 models, do you only get 21 months warranty, so you can put a tuner on after 21 months without losing your warranty? 🙂 (x-thread points)

I love that Harley now reveals there new models in January. It makes so much more sense to bring out the new bikes BEFORE riding season rather than at the end of it. I've broken in so many new Harleys in the cold days of November, never again!!!
