Lighting: If you’ll be in there in the dark, you need more lighting than you imagine. My 12x6 has 8 individual led fixtures mounted in corners and along the upper sides. When I snap on the lights in there it’s like an operating room. Get as much lighting as possible and nothing but leds.
You’ll be more than happy with twin 3500 torsion axles....I know this from running them for over 25 years and hauling some heavy loads. Another huge thing for me is a white interior. It makes everything extremely easy to see/find when the lights are on. Maybe one of the best decisions I ever made. My trailer was custom built to my specs and the process was extremely easy.

That's an awesome trailer, and you also have that gorgeous custom paint job, on your bike. I want to be you when I grow up.
Perfect replies. As expected, Ill just get the 3500lb axles. And yes, they are Dexter Torsion. Next question-
What about lighting the inside? It comes standard with 2 12v dome lights, but theyll be junk and Ill want to add LED lighting. Thinking maybe 48 long, 12v tube lights (like the old fluorescent, except LED). Or is strip lighting along the perimeter the way to go? Im sure 95% of the strip lighting is Chinese junk, so if youve got 1st hand experience of bright lights for a cargo trailer, please post.
Mine originally came with two small leds mounted on the side wall. I ordered four led lights from Amazon that has a high, low, and off switch. Moved the two that came with the trailer to the roof and mounted the new ones on each side, nice lights and super bright. Also added 120V outlets and a 4 led.
@RiderX, here is what I’m looking at. I’m in Canada, so figure about 30% less in USA dollars. The trailer is steel frame and structure, with aluminum cladding. I happen to have a bunch of my own E-track, so they will weld it to the studs and then it’ll be flush with the interior finished wall. Upon delivery, I’ll thru-bolt 3 rows of E-track to the I-beam floor trusses, along the edges and 1 down the center. I like E-track! I’ve got a few expensive options, like Quadfloor and interior fibre-lite finishing. Im pretty handy, so I’ll do the supplemental LED lighting and floor E-track myself... Comments?
USA dollars makes that about $8200 which certainly isn’t inexpensive, but probably on par with the better trailers made here. The 7x14 size and nice interior height add to the base price I’m sure. Those upgrades listed are pricey but you’ll really appreciate them over time. I’ve had average trailers and really nice trailers. There’s a huge difference in the ownership experience and how the trailer ages over several years.

Thanks for sharing @crocker . I really appreciate it.
Thanks for the link to the lights Jake, got some on the way.
Something I found looking for my trailer back in 09. Trailers are like the closet queens of barely ridden used bikes out there. There are lots of them out there with hardly any miles. Granted you can’t tell the mileage or usage on a trailer but you can tell when a piece of equipment Is used and abused or not Lots of people buy them with dreams of hauling their bikes all over the country and never do. I paid 6k for my 2006 7x12 Haulmark Low Hauler in 09. I travelled 500 miles to pick it up but well worth the 4500.00 savings from the new 09’s at the time. Trailer was and still is spotless. Winter time is a good time to buy I’ve come to realize. Just a thought for y’all wincing at the price of new ones. G.
