Each dealer is different. Ours takes pride in our used bikes, people are paying good money for them and should get what they pay for. We do the necessary mechanical repairs, safety related items, change the powertrain fluids, brake fluid, clutch fluid, etc and a detail. We're transparent about the reconditioning done if a customer asks because it instills trust and integrity. If a used bike isn't worth putting the money into it'll be sold to an independent to do with as they see fit.

My dealer details them, they look like new. Don't know about the mechanical end though.

...my dealer here in Asheville doesn't do much. Matter of fact, very little to a
used bike. Just get them back out the door.
They had a couple of my bikes back in the transferring debacle. I asked for a
loaner to get back home on while they sorted out the problem.

WHOA!!!!!
These suckers are dangerous; hardly any brake, pulls bad one way.
Vibrated real bad at speed and front bearings on both needed attention.

No way I'd give the prices they were asking, even if I was desperate...............

##...the dealer in Hickory was a little better, but they wanted the seller to
cough up an extra $1000 on trade to fix whatever was wrong with the bike.
Salesman used the excuse that he'd have to pay for fixing whatever was wrong
with the bike out of his departments budget, if he took in a trade that was not
up to their standards.
