i have 2017 cvo ultra , the battery is shot 4.5 years and 35000 miles it was due
i am not mechanical . i can get the seat off, i can get the square electronic engine control unit unsnapped, i can remove the two alien screws for the plastic piece above the battery , i can flex that plastic piece up a bit to get to the battery post. How do i get that plastic piece out of the way so i can remove the battery and replace with a new one with out fu the wiring connectors ?
thanks for the help remember mechanical is not my first language ! i have tried various chargers etc the battery is deceased just loud clicking noise from relays i would guess.

The plastic cover needs to be pushed towards rear of bike first then lift up where you removed the 4 nuts and the front side at the same time---believe me it seems impossible to remove, but once you've done it it really isn't that difficult--hint after removing cables replace the small 10mm bolts back into battery to help easily remove the battery ---good luck

Yes, make sure you know which ones---it helps to move the large array of cables and wires out of the way to remove the cover when you cut them--you know the other cables connected to the cover slide of the clip right?They push towards back of bike
