My Harley shop is closing June 26th. (New River Gorge Harley Davidson).
They said Harley wouldn't renew their contract.
It's a small shop but is always busy and sells lots of bikes.
Now my closest Harley shop is a 1.5 hour ride.
Guess I'll be ordering all my stuff online.

Sucks they’re forcing the small shops out.

Local shop here just closed too. Neidengards HD in Wintersville OH. Same deal, a little over an hour ride to the closest dealer now. No big deal to me, I sold my Electraglide and can do my own work on my Sportster so I'll probably never go there anyways.

They close but if the wrenches are good, they won't be out of work. All will come back around some day.

Reminds me of the BJ`s in my town closed. They were making a good profit but Corporate figured the profit should be greater.

I wonder what the criteria is. So, you’re a little
dealer in Cupcake, Idaho and you’re expected
to move as many bikes as someone in a big
city in kalif ? Or they pull the plug on ya ?
At least they’re there supporting your product.
Over the yrs, one of the things Harley had
going for em is their dealer support.

I'd give Indian, Honda, BMW a call. The Harley dealer close to me started selling BMWs this past year. Now they do both.

That sucks ,was always a cool place to ride to down there. You still have some of the best riding down there just a little farther south.

It’s sounding more and more like the old guard is going to have to find a new talking point for the old Harley vs Indian argument.

What really happens is one or more of the larger dealerships. Most often those that own a few dealerships went to the CEO. They wanted the sales of the smaller dealership so HD shuts them down. Find a good INDY and walk away from the HD dealerships. they did the same thing here Dealership was here 62 years a great honest place.
