My Harley shop is closing June 26th. (New River Gorge Harley Davidson).
They said Harley wouldn't renew their contract.
It's a small shop but is always busy and sells lots of bikes.
Now my closest Harley shop is a 1.5 hour ride.
Guess I'll be ordering all my stuff online.
Local shop here just closed too. Neidengards HD in Wintersville OH. Same deal, a little over an hour ride to the closest dealer now. No big deal to me, I sold my Electraglide and can do my own work on my Sportster so I'll probably never go there anyways.
I wonder what the criteria is. So, youre a little
dealer in Cupcake, Idaho and youre expected
to move as many bikes as someone in a big
city in kalif ? Or they pull the plug on ya ?
At least theyre there supporting your product.
Over the yrs, one of the things Harley had
going for em is their dealer support.
What really happens is one or more of the larger dealerships. Most often those that own a few dealerships went to the CEO. They wanted the sales of the smaller dealership so HD shuts them down. Find a good INDY and walk away from the HD dealerships. they did the same thing here Dealership was here 62 years a great honest place.
