Default THIS GETS SO OLD!!!

Usually I just shrug it off, but this one got to me!
A Ford dually pulling a trailer at least 60-70 mph. on a narrow country road
just about took me and an Amish Family out!
Approaching the Amish buggy I see a truck closing in at a high speed behind them, I back off a little, sure enough without slowing down the truck enters my path almost cliping the buggy, then whips it back into his lane,as the trailer he is pulling goes from one edge to the other sending stones everywhere,
never once breaking stride after the near miss.
I was done if I did not slow down when I saw the truck coming toward us. Things
like this happen so much anymore.
So much for enjoying a beautiful ride! Good thing I was on my way home.
I am sure he lives near me, I was only about 4 miles from my home.
Not trying to sound like a Drama Queen, just getting fed up with the way
people treat others today!

Most people find it very easy to rude, obnoxious, and dangerous behind the wheel because they are anonamous. Face to face, people are usually pretty pleasant. Usually.

If you think he lives near you, this is what I would do. Find him. Knowck on his door. Be very polite, and explain what happened. Tell him you and the Amish don't appreciate it. Ask him to please slow down and be considerate.

If that doesn't work, then slash his tires.

I just got back from riding many miles yesterday and today....I counted 2 or 3 instances where we were cut off, etc.
I had a history of severe road rage, but nowadays are different. If retaliating back will more than likely cause me or my passenger or other bikes in my group a greater danger, I usually give the one-finger-salute and hope the person will want to engage in conversation at the next traffic light. If not, I let it go with the satisfaction in knowing that not only did God protect me and my crew from a close call, but by not retaliating God also saved the cager from drinking his meals from a straw courtesy of many blows of my fists.
Of course if it's some oblivious 16-year-old punk beeotch flappin' their chops in there mobile phone booth, I like to completely terrorize them which is especially fun if you're in a pack of fellas with real loud pipes surrounding their car with invitations to pull over and talk about it....more than likely causes the punk-a$$ to soil their drawers real good.
All in all, my friend, be thankful that you are okay and count your blessings. If indeed this ball-less piece of crap lives near you, well I guess that's gonna make it all the easier to take revenge.....some day

These people don't want anything impeding their travel..... but they are obligated by law to stay in their own lane. I've had it happen to me too, we all have.

That's not been my experiance. I'v "confronted" people many times. Be polite, give the respect you expect to recieve, state your case, and let it go. It's as simple as that.

You simply proved there's no substitute for good, defensive riding skills. Congratulations. It's all part of the ride.
