How much of an extension did you get?

I wear a size 12, I just got my softbrake package today. I got a half inch extension for the toe and a 1.5" for the heel. Kind of took a WAG, placed my foot where I thought it would be comfortable and used a measuring tape to figure I could use the 2" of space...didn't want to make it too far apart.

Just 1.5” for the heel, and running stock toe shifter, which I keep kinda jacked up so I can get my toe under it if I want to tuck it in out of the way, or while I’m running soft lowers in cold weather or rain.

I hated the heel shifter & am glad that my current RK doesn’t have one.

I now have the extended heel lever installed. Whenever compared with the OEM lever, it is about 2" longer. This is about perfect and allows my boot to fit on the floorboard between the lever pegs. So I am not going to install the toe lever.
I adjusted the position of the heel lever so that it has fully shifted whenever the heel of my boot is flat on the floorboard.
So, I think I am happy.

Yep, I didn’t install an extended toe shift either, only the heel

Heal up, toe down. Personally don't like the feeling of my toe being trapped under the shifter. Just seems easier bringing the foot in and tap either up or down.

I rode 200 miles home when I left the showroom, straight to my toolbox. That heel shifter removal was my very first mod. Hate those things.

If you heel shifters don't learn to finesse, carry spare shift levers. You can thank me later.

I have been on the learning curve lately using the heel shifter. Up-shifting gives me no hesitation until I come to a stop and then I have to sit and think about what gear I am in and what I need to do to get into 1st gear and then neutral. Dividing my attention between two shifters for direction is not 2nd nature to me yet.
And I need to concentrate on minimal movement of my foot so that my heel does not leave the floorboard and I do not push too far down without the floorboard as a stop.
