Week long trip coming up. Hope to not need them but any recommendations for water proof gloves? Probably going to grab a cheap pair at Home Depot but the best I could find was water resistant which I believe translates into 'my hands will be wet eventually'. Thanks for the feedback

Probably easier to just get the rain gloves that go over your current MC gloves, something like this. I'm sure you could find a less expensive version as well...first result on google.
I use mechanix in high vis yellow. They get wet then they dry as I ride. Could have two pair. With the big hole you stick your hand in your never going to keep water out. Its not that big a deal to me. Now my buy is a different story. I hate wet underwear
Striker Ice - Second Skin gloves for me. I use them more for work than riding. Truly waterproof and lite weight.
Of course one thing I learned from our university equipment guru, nothing stays waterproof forever. The chemical coating does break down and they don't bother to re-treat them as it doesn't last or even work.
I've been using Kiwi Camp Dry on my leather for years , jacket , gloves , boots and yes .... my chaps .. . Been through some pretty heavy rains and I never have any issues . I spray my gear down every spring and I'm good all summer . I have rain pants , but never needed a rain jacket , my leather jacket is 15 years old and I stay perfectly dry , hands too .
I've done the nitrite glove thing, they work great for the water, but they don't grip for **** on the controls. I'm looking for something with a little more oomph to them.
