The finger lakes are beautiful....went to a wedding in Geneva 5 years ago and always thought I should go back to ride. Beautiful area!
Just reading this. I live in Geneva right on S. Main St (Rte. 14). The Glen is a great place to camp. Do the bus up to the top and the walk down it is well worth it. Also Buttermilk Falls State Park is worth a look. Ithaca is a great college town. All the roads in the southern Finger lakes are hilly and a great ride. If you have time you must visit Letchworth State park. There is an $8.00 entrance fee but the park is 17 miles long with fantastic waterfalls and gorges. Let me know if you have any questions.
Then you were fortunate indeed. Mine has dragged this out and made it messy and expensive. When I filed, knowing this would be a difficult transition (since she's refused to work for 20 years), I tried being nice. But some of the **** she's said to my kids and done - well let's just say I wouldn't urinate on her if she were on fire. AND I've spent some of my retirement to pay the mounting attorneys fees, AND she wants half of everything (even priced out each round of ammo I have and put a price to each round) AND she wants half my paycheck in alimony... etc.
Anyway, following because my court date is September 30, and once she's out, I'd like to do an epic trip myself! Good luck, be safe, and have fun!
Damn QNman.... sorry to hear that. When I called Fuel Moto to schedule my appointment i told Jamie's nephew about my situation. He explained that divorce is so expensive because it's worth it, lol. I suspect better days are ahead for you my friend.

My plan today was to get out and see some of the sites recommended by members in this thread but as soon as I headed out the sky opened up again and I headed back to camp after spending an hour at the Dunkin on Main Street thinking it would let up. It didn't.
There is so much great stuff to see here I'll definitely come back and visit.
I head out for Mohican State Park in Ohio tomorrow and guess what? More rain!

Lol. In my case, I'd have to agree with Jamie's nephew!!
Yessir, I thoroughly believe that is true. My head is held high, and my hopes are that the judge doesn't listen to her crap and awards me 50% custody of my son. Money is easy - I can always make more.
Well I'm making my way towards Appleton for my install and hit a brutal storm half way between Watkins Glen and Loudonville Ohio. Haven't seen a sky that angry in a long time... the rain was refreshing and the lightning bolts were nice!
Pulled off in Falconer and got a hotel room. Hoping things will improve in the AM and I can continue on. If I had a full face I would have kept going (gonna have to look into that)... Anyway, gonna have to make up some time tomorrow and will push through to Rifle River State Park in Michigan. Two days there and then on to Fuel Moto.
I just got FM's sale email and am thinking about upgrading some other stuff while I'm there. I'll report back as soon as I dry out!
A good modular helmet or flip up visor like a SHoei J Cruise is the bomb diggity.. I have a Neotec II and it is the shizzle for sure. I am going to add a headset to it for travelling. I also have a 3/4 SHoei RJ Platinum that it very comfortable and quiet.
Wuss! You ride to work in the fn snow and you let a little rain bother you. Camper shouldnt leak. Lots of OT still to recoup the cost of the hotel room .get yer *** back to work

I was looking for a modular before I left for my trip but I have a "long oval" head shape and couldn't find anything in stock. I found a few online that sounded promising but I'm hesitant to order without being able to try them on. I think a modular would be perfect for me. Any thoughts on a low profile (no mushroom head) modular?
