This particular Dugati here in Germany costs around 11,000 euros - 3000 euros less than the streetbob .

I bought a Kawasaki 636 Ninja a few years back and loved the bike but the riding position was awful and I suddenly realized I was in my late 40's. I have to admit the power was incredible but after 50 miles my elbows and knees were in pain.

I would go with the Street Bob.

I am already trying to figure out a way to get myself on a 1098 after the Deluxe is paid off. Ducati makes the sexiest performance bikes on the planet. I'm still wishing the H-D/Ducati merger rumors were true!
I thought I was the only one!

Actually I've been reading up on the 1098, and it's not quite as good a bike as the inital reviews make it out to be. Personally I'd love to get a 996 or 998 (not a 999 though), one day after the Harley is free and clear.

I had a buddy who had a S4 monster, nice bike, not very comfy, but then not many sport bikes are. I couldnt own one, I'd end up killin myself.

I have a fxst and Ducati monster. two very different bikes. I actually think the ducati is more comfortable. The monster is much lighter and takes the twisties better. If I had to do it again, I would buy the ducati, but may get the supersport instead of the monster. wouldn't trade the harley for it or have it for my only bike, but definetely makes a great 2nd bike. buy it, you won't regret it. but thats must my humble opinion.

Did you looked at the classic urban models from Triumph??? Just a suggestion.

BTW, I like the Ducati also.

Ducati all the way. But as been said before, those Classics are REALLY uncomfortable (even for a Ducati). Check out the Monster S4RS. They're not too bad at all.
