so in my research for my perfect bile i keep coming up against gas tank sizes (not just harley)
work is 55miles each way. small tanks i keep seeing would require a stop every day.
are the 5gal and larger tanks that rare?
or even a 250mile range?
it almost requires a touring bike
My 2019 FXLR has a 5 gallon, I can go 2 days with 50 mile each way commute, the Sportster has a 4.5 gallon, I generally get fuel every day or day and a 1/2. I get between 48 and 51 MPG on both running mostly 70-80 on highways, no Interstate and one small town to go through. Safe range on the FXLR is 220 miles and the Sportster 170 miles.
