I've been thinking about using it on the front lower fenders on my Tri-Glide.
That area catches a lot of stones, bugs, etc. and I currently have the "scruff guards} and the static, clear protective film but it needs replacing since it has been on two full seasons.
Where can I find Plastidip?
I did my dash cover on the Softail. It's held up great and matches the leather tank bib.
I've used it on scuffed mat black helmets too. For anyone wanting a pebbled look try Flexseal.
But that won't peel off if you screw up.
I Plasti-Dip the dickens out of my bike and car. The key to a successful Plasti-Dip job is to make sure you apply numerous coats. Once it has cured for a day or so, I spray it with a product called Cover-All tire dressing. It gives it a subtle shine. I did the forks, mirrors, headlight chrome, aux lights, fender trim, and the screen on the calipers. I dipped a bunch of chrome on the rear, too. Tour pack mount, fender trim, etc.
No problem. Thanks for the links. Weird that you had those problems, it seems like most people love the stuff. Still on the fence about trying it on my fork sliders.
