Just got my Thirsty Rock Hydration tank bag in the mail - what a great product - recommend it highly. Specifically designed for bikers. I was looking for a review section to post this in but couldn't find it so posting here instead.
Got this because I nearly died in 2020 when I did a ride from Melbourne to Canberra and my bike temp indicated outside temp of 46 Degrees celcius. I was so dehydrated I passed out at one of my stops - vey scary. Luckily a good Samaritan was there to give me some water. Stupidly I had frozen my own water and it was still ice and I couldn't drink it.
Nice, I can relate.
I just got back a while ago from a road trip across Nevada Desert Interstate 80 east bound on my way to Montana.
Your Thirst rock Hydration kit would of worked ok,
I had a Hydration Pack with 2L Hydration Bladder Lightweight Insulation Water Rucksack Backpack Bladder Bag that saved me.
i don't think yours would of been big enough, As it was so hot I wouldn't want to Stop any sooner to fill a smaller bag.
Plus my Hydration Pack with 2L Hydration Bladder Backpack Bladder Bag only cost $19.98 bucks
OMG, it sure didn't look that big.
$19.98 for the kuyou 2l hydration badder pack pack is more my pricing
Sure its a little more expensive but I am willing to pay for quality - the fact that it mounts to the tank rather than having to hump it on my back (a backpack type setup would interfere with my backrest) is a big plus in my book. Well worth the price of admission. Like they say - "you get what you pay for..."
I have a Thirstyrock also. I have ridden all over New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah with it. I love it so much that I bought two more and gave one to my father in law and another to a good friend. They also love these things. It's a great product and I love telling people about it!
Would have absolutely loved the have had that when I was riding in the Hoka Hey.
I bought one of the beer fridge kegs and modified it to use one year. I attached it to my windshield but it wasn't insulated and the water got hot much sooner than I would have liked, Probably wasn't very sanitary either.
And yes, I drank all the beer before I modified it for the Hoka Hey.
