Default Front fork upgrade?

I weigh about 160. The stock forks are not very comfortable, pretty harsh on my wrists when I hit big bumps. I assume they're set up from the factory for someone heavier than me. What options do I have for softening up the ride, aside from going full ohlins?

Easiest and cheapest is to try different springs, different spacer lengths and different weight fork oil and oil height/volume. From there, you can add Racetech Gold Valve/Emulators or Ricon Intimidators. I went from stock to Racetech straight rate springs sprung for my specified weight. Notable difference for the better and Gold Valve and Emulator.

From there, a full replacement cartridge. If going this route, I highly recommend something with preload and at least damping adjustability (preferably compression and rebound adjustability, which combined is damping). This will be the most expensive, but the most impactful to the ride. I wouldn't go Progressive.

Thank you for the info sir. You've given me plenty to get started. ✌️
