The stock HD horn is embarrassing to use. There's no way that a Harley Davidson motorcycle should make a wimpy noise like it's factory horn.

Have you heard the horns on 17+ bikes? Deafening. The guy rides a '21 Heritage.

I've had a set of Howard's dual trumpet air horns on my 09 for about 10 yrs now. They are loud enough to blow the stupid right off most folks.

Stuff like horns and brakelight flashers help, but the level of stupid grows every year.

I replaced my stock Harley horn with one from Fiamm, available at Pricess Auto in Canada for $18.

I did a review on my installation complete with ACCURATE dB measurements.

The $18 horn was louder by a little....you could find the thread if you looked.

FWIW, I wouldnt put a freight train horn or fire engine siren on my bike for fear of freaking out the texting driver.

My go to is usually brakes, throttle or turning of the handlebars before even thinking about the horn.

ymmv

I have used Fiamm Freeway Blaster dual horns for several years but I don't rely on horns to keep motorists out of my way. I try to avoid riding in traffic whenever I can because there are too many distracted and intoxicated drivers these days.

The Real train horns are to larger for a motorcycle, and a police officer will take offense should he hear it. Horns are not supposed to scare the crap out of people, just get their attention. and believe me, the train horns will scare people.

The drivers on the Chicago expressways don't even pay attention to gunfire anymore.

I had a set of Nathan P3's under my F250 PSD running at 145psi and 9 gallons of air. equals a 40 second honk. Wound up removing them as anybody I honked at shyte their pants, some just froze to make way for the train...
