Been hearing this rattle at low rpms that has gradually gotten worse.......inspeted the bike tonight and found that the mounting bracket for the front pipe has lost it's bolts......2 broken off and one just missing.......[:@]One of the two holes with the broken bolts is easy to get to, the other hole is blocked by the frame as well the hole missing the bolt is to blocked. I assume that they will have to pull the motor to get to these holes to machine them....
2 things........alright to ride without it??? have been basically for 1000 or more miles now, no probs.
Have a friend that can put a couple of weld on that piece of sh$t and call it a day......probs with welding???
It is bolted to the head and then there is two bolts in the rear of the pipe as well, it does not move..like I said, that bracket has been loose and rattling quit a bit for awhile now...has not been doing much.
Well, if it is the bracket only, then you can easily have it welded. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to remove it without a heavy duty grinder.
