Went Down today

Well, my bro-in-law was on his way to my shop today so we could go ride when he topped a hill to find a pileup on the other side. He swerved to miss it and went down on the left side sliding into the median. Its a good thing too cause the truck behind him smashed into the car that was in front of him. Luckily he wasn't hurt badly, just a little road rash.The bike fared well for a 60 mph lay-down new front fender, rear wheel, derby cover and mirrors is all its gonna take to fix it. He was actually able to ride home. After seeing his helmet though, I can promise you I'll be wearing mine much more often!!!!

That sends a shiver down my spine--the thought of being a cycle sandwich. Who would have thought the lesser of two evils was a 60mph slide. Glad he is ok.

Glad to hear he's ok. Seems to be a big lesson learned this year is that those helmets do seem to work. I've definitely been wearing mine a lot more now. My friend got in an accident and hearing these stories reminds me that it's definitely worth it.
