Im here at Best Buy installing remote start on my car. It gets lil cold where I live and I loved remote start on my car last 15 years Ive had it. Got a new and a free car, I decided to get one installed.
Im just waiting for them to finish their stuff and I was thinking if they have one for motorcycle. I think it would be cool to turn on the bike with a remote, let it warm up for couple mins before the ride.
I dont leave bikes sitting out of gear. Other than that Ive seen enough HDs flopped over because of the sketchy jiffy stand, let alone sitting there shaking away at an idle on it.
that's funny, I've been riding since nineteen senny two, I'm on my 20th Harley, and I have never once... Not ONCE.... seen a failure on a Harley Jiffy stand.
that's the one thing the Co got right.
My senior year design project, in my EE degree at Penn State in 1976, was a remote car starter. We had a team of 3. Guess we should have patented it.
But, IMHO a remote start on a Motorcycle is pretty useless. It’s not like you are warming up or cooling off the car interior, or thawing off tbe windshield.
Yea, they make them, seen them on Amazon. Hope your new car warranty isn't affected by the install.
My work gave me the car. Not really worried about the warranty. Little bit of research I did, looks like it will be ok. Installing Compustar remote starter. Hopefully all good. I installed one 15 yrs ago on my old car and I didnt have any glitches. Worked flawlessly so far.
