I can't tell you how many times I see people especially young females with their face down deep into their cell phone will driving. Every single day multiple times. It F-ing sickening. They should be treated like drunk drivers. Throw the F-ing book at them.

Dumb bitch. She should lose her license for a period of time, go thru drivers training again, with emphasis on looking out for motorcycles, construction zones, making lane changes prior to being forced to move... a good intensive driving training course. Should be mandatory for all idiots who do things like this. I doubt she would learn from her current ways.
Hope the officer recovers and is well. And hope he gets back on his bike and continues his job. In spite of others thoughts he would fake/force retirement. Not everyone is like that.
Wow! And all they did was issue a ticket for a minor offense. That is why there is a problem, drivers do not care, because even if caught, there is little penalty.
P.S. What is the fine for said offense? I saw in NY it's a couple of points, but couldn't see much on a fine.
Lucky cop, adrenalen got him up walking for a bit. But then his brain kicked in, sick pay, insurance claim, retirement, lol. Glad he's ok, nobody deserves a hit like that.
Adrenaline got me up too, but I wasn't thinking about any of that ****. I just wanted to get back on my bike and go home. A lady that stopped pointed out that my bone was sticking through my leg. Back down on my ***, so I could shed my boot before the EMTs cut it off. That was the last time i stood on my own for over 5 months.
LOL that, Sport.
Cell phones should explode if turned on in a car.

I totally agree. The penalty should be quite a bit more severe than a minor offense.
Back in the day we had a Suzuki GT750 water cooled tipple (aka. water buffalo) with a bad coil ground and it would hang up cell phones as we rode by. Anybody seen any cell phone jammers for the new phones? I would gladly pay for one to help drivers ay attention...
For you morning laugh, also had a GT380 with giant automotive coils mounted above the carbs. We had inadvertently not wired them up properly with. Every couple of months the fuel petcock would rub the output wire nipple & wire raw and when you grabbed for some front brake you would get 100,000 volts in your nuts if they were touching the tank. I was 16 and short so it was always a nut shot. Just try holding a panic brake with a tazzer on your nads...
