Proper cornering thread...
Who knows about how to corner on your bike while on a windy road? When I rid up to our popular bike hangs on the weekends I oftentimes see folks who have no idea of how to corner properly. I think everyone could learn a thing or two from either reading books on the subject or watchin DVD's. Also, let's ride within out limits so there are no wrecks. Whenever I ride with people whose skill level I do not know, I give them the disclaimer that safety is more important than speed and to take their time as otherw will alwyas wait for them at the next stop sign. Let's attempt to learn proper technique as it makes things a lot easier, safer, and more fun. Have a great day out there guys.

If you want to burn through the corners at high speed, buy a rice rocket. I like taking it slow, safe, and easy - especially riding two-up. I've been on rides with groups who like to compete for speed through the twisties on thier HD. I usually just hang back and try and catch them on the straight.

Thanks Anubiss. Cross winds caught me coming around a couple of corners & scared the !! out of me.. When they suddenly stopped, & changed direction, I thought I was going to slide right off the road.... the more knowledge, the better!
