Korea was "THE" place manufacturing leather coats back in the 80's and maybe 90's, but then production started moving to other countries as Korea became big in cars and electronics and moved past garments. That might help with dating the coat. Otherwise, I got nothing.
As already mentioned, if it was the proverbial holy grail of Harley jackets, the fringed white leather one, that would be a find. Can't help you on this one but welcome to the Forum. What do you ride?
Ha. Bunch of crotchety folk on here, I see. Not a reseller-picked it up second-hand, and just curious as to its age and authenticity
What's to wonder about? You bought it and you like it. Truth be told, it's an imported, HD branded jacket that isn't worth much. Now, if you take that jacket across the country a few times, use it as pillow, a ground cloth during a breakdown, a blanket while laying on a rest area picnic table or as a mattress in a field when you find that right honey who likes to ride passenger on a hog; then and only then will that MFer be "worth something". It won't matter that it's trying to fly the American flag after being made in KOrea. It will be worth something because of what it's done, not what it is.
If anything in this thread was too harsh, you might not be a good fit here. But, if you're willing to suffer some of us old and grouchy men who have done those aforementioned things, you might get some benefit. Here's one; carry a plastic grocery sack rolled up in your rain jacket and pants. Put the bag over you boot before you stick it thru the pants leg and you won' have to do the one foot dance to get them on. Same for your hand/arm when putting on the rain jacket.
Next week, how to get free lodging on a long trip inside display storage sheds in Home Depot or Lowes parking lots after closing.

I now and here forth dub "Jacket threads" my favorite...I was like a salivating dog when I saw the thread title. Definitely displaces the "what bike should I buy " threads as my favorite.
O.P. as long as you like it and will get some use out of it then it's priceless. I know I wouldn't give up old beat up leather jacket for anything. Thanks for starting the thread and providing me with a couple good laughs to get the day started. You think we're crotchety now just ask us what kind of oil you should use in your primary
OP, you might not realize it but questions like yours are pretty common here. Someone finds something with a Harley-Davidson logo on it and creates a new account here to ask what its worth. There seems to be a widely held belief that anything with a Harley-Davidson logo is collectible and worth big money.
Yes, this place can be a bit intimidating at first. Its also a lot of fun and pretty informative. Stick around.
