There seems to be a widely held belief that anything with a Harley-Davidson logo is collectible and worth big money.
Common denominators are...
...they don't own a Harley
...they bought it at a thrift shop or a garage sale for peanuts
...they think they can flip it for a big profit and want to know what it's worth or if it's legit.
