maybe fix it before you condescendingly dismiss it, because obviously it aint working.
if the user has to first make a welcome post in only the welcome area, then ten more legit posts before PMs. Are even open up to address, the at large members are available. Then 15 before the sale ads are viewable.
it probably would fix a few of the less ambitious scammers and also stop the one question wonder user.
this is just another version of cyber crime thats going to increase.
I have had this scam in other forums, and the first thing I do is check the user profile for active users, one post Charlie, I wouldnt buy , sell or trade with.

my address is kind of goofy depending on the shipper. usps doesnt do local delivery where i live and my paypal is registered to usps, which is a po box. fedex and ups deliver to the house but not the po box, so depending on who the seller wants to use determines what address they can send to. i always ask who they ship through and explain the situation. hasnt been an issue yet.
