Little balancing 100.. When you static balance on a stand, you just add enough stick on weight to make the light side even. Most add 1/2 on each side to simulate a dynamic balance. Least, it does not make dynamic worst that way.
What's best is a true two axis dynamic balance. Especially on wide rims. It takes care of the light side plus the side to side shake if the light side is not directly opposite each other.
All weights are fixed. With most modern cast OEM wheels and quality Dunlops and Mitchlins, little weight is needed.
Spoke wheels usually are not so close. Plus they are difficult to dynamic balance with spoke weights.
Beads got there rep from bags they use to throw in huge truck tires. Most now have true fixed weight balancing.
But if you want to believe something rolling around in a tire magically goes to the light side, that's cool.
Remember, the out of balance is the heavy side trying to fly away more then light side. Now guess were the beads go.
Have been using dyna beads for for years...they work great. I made a mistake one time and bought a different brand. They were a huge pain to pour through the valve stem. Seemed like they had a lot of static and clogged the stem repeatedly. Had to go really slow...no problem with the dyna bead brand
I see DRIBBLES posted a Wikipedia link. I believe all his, "knowledge" is wiki related.
In any case, I use Ride On and like it.
hey come on now, we should all bow our heads...thats balance 100 knowledge from the master tech himself. Oh wait ,shouldn't it have been balance 101? Lol.
I have been using Ride-On since 2012 and really like it. It will balance the tire though out it's life span. Plus you get the added puncture protection too.
I’ve been running beads for around 30,000 miles and several tire changes. The bike rides like the tires are perfectly balanced for the life of the tire. Which if you know,..many times tires start to act like they need balanced after 5,000 or so miles.
Received them and installed last night, had to go slow, they clog up really easy, used my hair clippers to vibrate them in, I’ll take it for a ride today, and see if I notice a difference

You're not much of a mechanic are you?
I use a blow gun to put beads in. Takes less than a minute. Small shot of air is your friend. Do you have an air compressor?
Use your hair clipper/vibrator for something else. Use this on your beads.....
