Night is one of my favorite times to ride, less cages and cooler than the day time temps.

Make sure you don't override your headlamps...it's woefully easy to do. Use other cars headlights to see beyond your own and slow down a bit.

Keep in mind, you're even less visible at night than during the day, be extra cautious at intersections and such.

Keep an eye out for shining eyes off the side of the road...animals love to jump out and let you know how much they care at night.

If you start getting drowsy, take a break and get something to drink.

Enjoy, just something great about riding at night.

Wife wants to know the best nite riding glasses available. She has successfully riden on 2 long nite rides, she did real good, tonite, coming from a nite ride around town. She pulled into the garage and said no more, cause I must be going blind. I can't see worth a $hit.

RDKing, a lot of people swear by bright yellow lenses for night riding which is supposed to improve contrast and cuts down on the glare. I can't tell you from experience because at night my lenses are clear.

I have always enjoyed Night riding but for some reason it really disorientates my lovely wife when she's on the back.

I use my Wiley X clear lenses at night. I tried the yellow but they seemed to magnify the light a liitle too much I was seeing halos everywhere. The deer are moving around at night here in Colorado so I don't do much night riding out of the city at the moment.

Just be careful of all the deer in the area. I live close by and they are everywhere. I dodged 2 deer not long ago, but ended up flattening a opposum instead. Watch for storms moving in or barometric pressure changes...this is when deer are most active. have a safe ride.

Yup I went out a week ago and there were 8 crossing the road about 3 miles south of where I live. On my way back home I slowed to about 30 where I had seen them ealier and sure enough there was a buck standing on the side of the road. Needless to say I went home and put the scoot up for the night.
