Last I looked, Uhaul does not rent the MC trailers one way.
When we moved from Portland, or to San Diego, I bought a new 12x6 enclosed trailer for the bike. It worked out great for the bike, as well as miscellaneous stuff we moved, thst I didn’t want to trust movers with. And it worked as storage until be got settled in the new house. I later sold it!

Had to rent a uhaul bike trailer one way from Little Rock to upstate NY last year. Trailer was $400, smallest truck they had to pull it was $800 and mileage was limited. I came in under by about 50 miles. It was either that or fly home and drive back with my trailer.
I would buy a trailer, actually planned on it when I bought the house
But I really do not have a good place to keep it
It was going to go next to the garage - driveway extends to that area
But now with the bike in the garage I want to build a car port for the Mustang
I do not have any real back yard, there is a drainage stream that cuts off the rest of my property
You may be able to find a lawn jockey's trailer used since it's getting to the end of the season for cutting grass. Check the tires and bearings and load the bike up. Once you're here, sell it to another lawn jockey wannabe. We don't have much downtime between growing seasons. LoL. You could likely make your money back if the trailer looks nice. Just a thought.
Congratulations! It's the shipping company every motorcycle owner should use. They aren't a BROKER. They are the COMPANY that will have your bike from pickup to delivery, and it will be on a dedicated shipping platform like Harley uses to ship to dealers. Also from what I have seen in the past, their prices are very competitive.
They ship motorcycles and pianos. That's it as far as I know.

Good Lord! At those prices, Id definitely buy a trailer.

Could have changed , but about 5 years ago I bought a bike in Colorado and used the U-Haul trailer to haul it to Texas. No issues with a one way rent and it sticks in my mind that it was something $25 a day.
Those are nice trailers. If you use one for a long haul be sure to tie the real wheel down so it can't skip out to either side when you hit bumps.
Just did this last year from Indiana to Louisiana. I had to rent the truck anyway. Don't use their smaller motorcycle specific trailer. They have a 5' x 9' with the wheel chock in the front.
I bought a utility trailer a year or so ago for about $1500, and I bought a wheel chock. I use it all of the time for hauling stuff around, I've had to pickup my bike with a flat tire using this, it works very well.
