I’ve never used a wheel chock. I just put the front tire against the front rail of the trailer and strap the handlebars to to the front corners of the trailer with two nylon tie down straps. Never had a bike move.

You can probably get a small open trailer or even an enclosed trailer for less than 2500. May want to look into that.

From the U-Haul web site, if you rent the larger 5x9 open ramp trailer you can rent it for one way.Our motorcycle trailers for rent have a maximum towing capacity of 950 lbs, with almost 30 square feet of deck space for more loading opportunities. Whether you are transporting a motorcycle across town, to repair shops, or round trip to an out of town motorcycle event in another state or province, U-Haul’s motorcycle trailer will work for you. The motorcycle trailer rental is both affordable and reliable.

If you need to move a motorcycle a long distance and want to leave the trailer at the destination, please refer to our 5x9 open ramp trailer. U-Haul’s 5x9 open ramp trailers are available for one way moves, whereas the motorcycle trailers must be returned to the original location.

If using a Uhaul trailer long distance, be sure to double check tires
