I’m guessing you don’t have the 6.5 inch infotainment? If you do you can change to metric units then use the navi to display speed in one of the bottom corners
You are the man 👍. I have SG special and is equipped with infotainment center. Didn’t think to look there. I’ll check that out.
The old days when purchased US bikes and brought them up, we had to get a KM speedometer to change ownership over to our name. We used vinyl stickers at 30 mph = 50 km, 60 mph = 100 km on the glass. After the safety check to change the ownership over, the vinyl came off.
Even more classy is to write on the glass of the speedo with a sharpie. Easy to claim speedometer error that way.(incase you are pulled over)
Then wipe off with a small amount of thinner on a rag.
DO NOT do this if your speedo is plastic. Put clear tape on first.

For those who have to do the conversion in their head, all our speed limits are in multiplies of 10 (50,60,70,80 etc). The easiest way to do it is drop off the last zero and multiply by 6. So 50 kph = 30 mph, 80 kph = 48 mph, 100 kph = 60 mph, 120 kph = 72 mph. That way you'll be going a tick slower than the actual speed limit so use some common sense and drive slightly above those numbers and you should be fine.
Waze will do the math ... "In Waze, hit the magnifying glass, then the gear wheel at the top left.Under General, you'll find the settings for Language, Unit (miles/km) and others.Just change them to what you want"

Not sure how you do things there, but claiming a vehicle failure here to get out of a speeding ticket could result in a tow instead.
I was going to suggest the Sharpie method also at a few points or some colored vinyl tape. Comes off easy but will stay forever otherwise.

I haven’t had a speeding ticket since 1985, even though I deserved it many times.
No talking my way out of 120 mph in the 1985 one, I didn’t even try, just readily agreed with the cop who could get me only at 85 then I left him chasing me for a while.
It was midnight and he did not turn on his flashing lights, I thought the car behind me was trying to run me over. I did not know it was a cop. So I took off.
I try to not deserve them anymore though.
A Speedo with a sharpie drawn Mickey Mouse and hands might get a laugh and a warning.
Hope no cops are reading this.

Trust me, they are. And I'd laugh at that Mickey Mouse and hands if it were otherwise harmless fun. Because I always love a good sense of humor.
