13 mths old and 9500km (almost 6000 miles), largely highway ridin'. I won't ride for about 3 to 4 mths a year - just too damn wet & cold, plus they use way too much salt on our roads in the winter (coastal BC). I live an hour or more ferry ride from any serious pavement - so when I can afford the time to get away, I try to take advantage of it and punish my back & butt with lotsa miles. Hopefully by this time next year I'll have at least tripled what I have now - I'll take a ferry to Vancouver Island, ride for a few hours than take another ferry down across the line and take the 101 down to Cali, then east across the desert, check out the big hole in AZ, then meander NE towards the Tetons and Yellowstone, cross the line again along the prairie somewhere, up and over the Rockies, back down to the coast (and a minimum of two more ferries to get home). But for now I work and dream of drier weather.
I just don't get it. I started riding my 07 Fat Boy in April this year. I have over 5000 miles already. Here in Colorado seems I find most with 4,5,6 year old Harleys that I have run into have 2000 miles or less. Whats up with that? Happy with my Fatty but already looking to switch up to the Street Glide. Love my bike but want a fairing, windshield and stereoand bagsalready.lol. Come on Colorado people put some miles on your scoots!!!
07 Streetglide. 11,000 in 9 months. Love it!!!!! For all of you folks who don't have a lot of miles on your bike, who cares. As long as your happy when you do ride it, well i say ROCK ON with ya bad self.
