I tend to go hunting in the fall and winter. 60 days of duck season in my zone, extend that by a few days of north zone I travel to, that starts a week sooner and stays open during our split. Also add in the occasional deer hunt, I stay busy and don’t really miss riding in the winter.

but I also had a few days of hunting in the morning and riding in the afternoon.

Here in eastern NC, Jan/Feb are the only bad months for riding. I try to get in a ride at least once each of those months. Winter gives me a chance to do any big maintenance on the bikes. By the end of Feb we are usually good to go. This year I rode over 400 miles the first week of Jan, and last year my wife and I went for a nice 300 mile ride on Presidents Day in Feb.

I feel the same way, I f**king HATE winter. I only go outside if I have to, like to go to work, or do errands, etc. Otherwise, I'm a hermit. I can't tolerate the cold anymore, no matter how many layers I put on. I hate having to dress like I'm going to an Arctic expedition, just to go outside for 10 minutes. I HATE snow. I HATE the short days, going to work and coming home in the dark. But, I digress, and will stop my rant.

Back on topic. I survive the winter with a combination of hitting the weight room at the gym harder, booze, and doing some binge watching on the weekends. And the occasional indoor project in the house. I will be replacing some interior doors, and installing some new sliding doors for the closets in the bedrooms, along with some shelving. Hopefully, we get an early spring, so I can be riding again by the end of March.

BTW, that snowblower is cool. I wish I would have thought of that when I had a walk behind snowblower!

When I was younger and lived in northern Illinois I used to drink too much and chase women. Not that that's a bad thing. When I was 25 I moved to where I can ride year round, for that reason. Problem solved.

What to do....finish of the 65, get the sidecar pieced together and attached to the 65, get to working on my niece's chopped 50. I figure I'll run out of winter first.
