The traditional air cooled Sportster is no longer made. What effect will this have on used Sportster prices now and then a couple or so years into the future?
They will go up. If you have the space and the means to buy and hold now is the time for carbureted evo sportsters and big twins.
OTOH, values of both cars and motorcycles are high due to what has been going on with Covid and the economy in the past couple or so years. Maybe it is a better idea to wait a year, so that value come down for cars and motorcycle in general?
My local dealer must have a dozen or more 2nd hand Sportsters on the floor at present, think one could find a great deal if in the market for one.
Have to admit though the new model is just outright ugly.

I don't think we're at the point yet where Sportster values are going to go up, you can't throw a rock and not hit one for sale. Once the glut starts to subside is when you'll start to see them go up. Big twins on the other hand, hard to say at this point.
If you add an additional $15,000 in accessories, add-ons, foo-foo crap, you should get well over $55,000 for it!!!
Just look at some of the crap you see on line for sale! someone figures they add $$$ to a bike and that would triple it's value!!!!
