Not saying mine is only solution, but if you can get a keychain remote for $10 or even a full size remote for maybe $20 to put in your pocket, and maybe 5 minutes and a stepladder to program. How many beers does that equal out to?
I keep it all attached to the small carabiner until ride time and then throw the HD Fob/House key in my pocket and clip the mini garage opener to a belt loop. The opener's so small I forget about it until I near my driveway.
I bought a cheap opener off Amazon. Check the back of your opener to see what color your set button is to make sure you order
the right one.
I then filed a flat spt on the back and used Gorilla Glue to secure a strong magnet on it.
It's nice to have when you have more than one bike.

People don't realize what circuits magnets, especially strong magnets, can affect, and what they can do to them over time. You have no idea how many times I used to have someone stick their "backup" diskette to their filing cabinet next to their desk, and then wonder why it appeared to be blank weeks or months later. Granted, electronics have changed some in recent years, but some things are still affected. You should check with the manufacturer to make sure before doing this.

True. Hotels for example typically do not tell you not to place your room keycard right against your cell. A few weeks ago I did it by accident even after already knowing that. 20 minutes later (I am sure it didn't take that long), I find the card is dead.
I do not trust anything with magnets near electronics.
