I ride with my high beam on during the day anymore. It does make a noticeable difference to the number of a-holes pulling out in front of me etc. Often see them start to go then suddenly slam the brakes on as the high beam burns a hole in their peripheral vision and eventually their dim brain. And I make sure I don't sit in the blind spot of cars in the next lane, but sit where that high beam is visible in their mirrors.
My attitude is that someone is going to take me out every time I go for a ride. And more often than not, some cager will do something dangerous that could take me out if I wasn't keeping my head on a swivel. Thats just the way it is with bikes and traffic these days.
