I served from 1978, until 2001. Enlisted in the Marines, commissioned in the Air Force (long story), and retired in the Air National Guard. I served with many brave and honorable men and women (no transgenders that I know of). Some died in Panama (anyone remember “Just Cause”?) some died in Desert Storm. A handful died in Special OPs in South America. Every one died doing what they thought was the right thing for our country. I honor them every year on November 10th (Semper Fi), and 11th. I was proud to serve. I’m proud to be an American. I’m disgusted with our leadership, and many (not all) of our youth that have no idea in hell what they whine and cry about, and with what is wrong in America today. “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”…Ronald Reagan said it…..sadly, many children have never heard it. God Bless our men and women who serve every day, so that we can remain free.
