The hyper flash, although attention getting, shortens the life of the flasher relay.
And is annoying.

That would be obnoxious. Mine flash normally but there are various programming options that can be done. With mine for example, they flash on and off quickly for a few seconds when the brakes are first applied. Yeah I always hated that on cars and trucks. Makes it look "ghetto" But whatever, I agree, that particular feature would make it safer. Ha! I can't see them in the back anyway LOL

I would, however need to draw the line and the quick flashing

Depends entirely on the bike/ year. As stated on 2014+ HD bikes are CANBUS and do not need resistors as the system auto compensates for the lower resistance.

OP your 2022 Road King does NOT NEED resistors.

Or rather the system runs at lower resistance.

Turn signals hyper flashing is designed into the system because of DOT regulations. It's purpose is to alert you that a bulb is burnt out/non functional.

In the UK the speed of flash is between 60 and 120 per minute.

All HD bikes with a BCM can "learn" they have led bulbs but I suspect there will still need to be a minimum current draw even for that to work.
