Could you please tell me where you got the replacement LED's that fit
into the stock harley fog lamps? Are they just plug and play?
Thanks!
Plug & play with anything that has a H3 connector. You might have to file a small bit on the bulb part to get it to fit. I think I just jammed mine in there.
Do an EBAY search, try H3 LED 26SMD. Run you about $6.00
If you want a little brighter try here: Type H3 for a search.
Just so you know they're not going to throw a lot of light down the road like a halogen bulb will. I got a deal on the fog lamps and wanted them to match my current LED set up. They do help with other drivers being able to spot you.
I installed these passing lamp LED's. http://www.socalmotogear.com/Harley-.../hdled-50w.htm I measured the output in lumens with a $3K light meter from work comparing the stock halogen to these lamps. The output is not as bright as the halogen lamps but they match the Harley LED headlight light in color temperature, producing a white light. If I had it to do again I would still buy these. Somewhere on this forum I did a writeup with the exact measurements in lumens and color temperature.
So far I haven't found any LED H3 bulbs that will go inside my oval fogs. The stock bulbs are very small and all the LED bulbs I've found to date are relatively huge!
As for the Daymaker fogs, they are designed to fit on the vertical part of the engine guards, not the horizontal part. As bklynbob points out the fitting instructions are indeed on H-D's website, well worth reading!

Do you have the same fog lamps as me? The LED's I have fit and have some room to spare as well.
