Helmet strap retention snap - fix in progress

I was warned by fellow rider about quick-release helmet straps. He was on cross country trip, got caught in feathers rain.
Had to cross through water where he couldn’t see roadway surface. Went down, was okay, but saw helmet floating away…

Your OCD is misplaced; Its SUPPOSED to stand out. The original snap was red all I did was replace the broken cap on it with another red one.
