My phone was a iPhone 14 promax and I use the matching Apple brand magsafe leather case. I did not ride my bike much that year, I put about 800-1,000 in 12 months and thats about how long my Lamicall held my phone. The metal parts that I guess are attached to spring inside that you can't see, the part that expands ti fit the phone is not very solid compared to my newest phone mount. If I had to describe the mount I would describe it as a bicycle grade holder IMO, I know my old softail is a hard mount engine and has vibration but all motorcycles do when underway but this thing was no match for my normal riding. The last few times I inserted my phone into tis mount, I did notice the springs felt like it was loosing some of the tightness and this was progressive over time. To be clear if I had to guess, I only mounted and unmounted my phone 10-20 times before it dropped my phone. My iPhone Pro Max is a large phone and perhaps this would do better with a smaller phone? I have no idea but IMO , Its "TOY"Grade based on 1 year and 1K miles of use and simply holding it in my hand compared to the newest mount I just purchased. I had my doubts at first but the positive reviews assured me. However,

On a normal ride at about 35 mph my phone simply fell out, lodged for a second in the engine area as as I bent down to try and grab it, the rear tire ran over my phone! The springs or whatnot I guess over that year lost the tightness to hold the phone. You have no way to lock the phone in and are dependent on a plastic phone holder with thin metal arms that bend and internal springs I guess.
I did have Apple insurance so I guess it was around $100+ I was able to get a new phone but want a pain! I knew better as I could tell this thing was not going to hold long term.
Do yourself a favor, if you own this Lamacill mount already or buy it, the first time you insert your phone, just based on the feel and how easy the metal arm things bend / flex and the plastic ( asuming your phone is the size a heft of my 14 promax ) ask yourself do you truly think this thing is going to hold your phone on a motorcycle very long? Just based on the weight of your phone vs the lightness of the mount how long do you expect it to continue to hold? It will for a bit but then, no more phone! I know the Amazon reviews will say yes its great but just based on feel, please ask yourself that question!
I purchased a new replacement mount a month or so ago from Amazon. Its night and day! Boy is it solid! The TACKFORM, I love it! TRACKFORM is a TRUE, SOLID, precision machined part! You will need to measure your bars to get the correct mount but if you want a "real" motorcycle mount please research and consider the TACKFORM.
After you receive the TACKFORM, the first time you hold it in your hand, mount your phone you will be like .. yea, this is SOLID, This will hold it!

I just received the new RokForm in black that fits the 1-1/2 inch diameter bars. We rode 133 miles today. Overall I have over 50k miles using RokForm. Great stuff.

You can adjust and set these anywhere with all the adjustment. I have 14 inch bars on Belinda and have it mounted turned down so the phone does not stick up above the bars for a very clean look.
