I went to the dealer today to grab a couple of quarts of gear oil and was surprised to learn the HD corporate has shut off the veterans discount program (10% discount) in favor of this new membership/points program. Earn 500 points and you get $5 "reward". I can't find anywhere where it describes how many dollars you must spend to earn a point?
Have any of you earned a benefit that makes it worth enrolling in this program, or is it a marketing money suck?
I was at the local dealership last December and found out I had $175.00 to spend by the end of the year. That wasn't hard to there. They have since changed the system but never looked into how it works now.

That would be your specific dealer that chose not to give you the discount. I was at mine this morning and got both my discount as well as my points. The points/rewards is a corporate program, the veteran discount has always been up to the local dealers, was never a corporate policy/discount.
Alright thanks, I guess it was good while it lasted. I just discovered I'm already enrolled because of online purchases, and have $10 in rewards available to me.
