I went LED close to 20 years ago. Back then, I installed, and still have installed, the Kuryakyn "Panacea" system, which is run/turn/brake for the rear turn signals. The rear signals are red for run and braking modes, and amber for turn mode. I run a JW Speaker Adaptive LED headlight, and the front turn signals are Kuryakyn white/amber LED inserts. They are bright white for running, and go amber for signalling. They actually add quite a bit of visible light up front, making me more visible. I know Kuryakyn gets a bad rap, but this stuff has stood the test of time, and miles. That said, if I was doing the swap from new, I would look into Custom Dynamics these days, except for the headlight. IMHO, you can't beat JW Speaker for that.
Cheers!
I like the adaptive feature of the JW Speaker, I just don't like that they chose to go with the yellow tint
to try and resemble an incandescent. I contacted them about it and they said it was intentional.
I swapped out the 1157s, 1156s and 3157 with some LEDs I found on Amazon. The ones at the part store only had side facing diodes so I found some on Amazon that had side and rear facing diodes. I do get hyper-flash on the dash indicators but the actual lights blink normal so I just dont worry about it.

If it annoys you at some point, you can get a plug & play load resistor pack for about $10-$15 that works fine.

Is that something new? My headlight is bright white, no yellow tint at all.

No, I'm thinking it's the original, If yours is bright white they must have changed it.
My front run/turns are white amber and it doesn't look uniform.
I just converted my old tractor from 6V positive ground to 12V negative ground.
I need to remember to change the lights...two in front and one in the back on a three-way switch.
I may just go LED. Not an original look, but much more functional.
I put rear LED lights on the back of my wife 21 Freewheeler and my 20 Sport Glide. Just call Custom Dynamic. I got mine there just plug and play, a lot brighter too.
I did this on my 05 and I used this module, plug and play. I also used their run, turn, brake module that plugs into this one to turn the rear turn lights into break lights as well
